Shards Of Glass
"This one is juicy its about the estranged and miserable relationship with my sister, how she has always been envious of me, my wife and children. 12 long years she has done all she could to defame me and my wife to other family. My children suffer the most with a sense of emotional abandonment and neglect from all family. So I ended up writing this song about those feelings with out directly saying it clearly and it is a form of safe therapy for me with out getting too involved in the reality of it all."
lyrics
Shards of glass
I walk on broken shards of glass
You tried to bury me and put me last
My blood it runs from under me
Possessive of a mothers love for me
Yeah walking on your shards of glass
A nightmare that won’t ever end with you
Forced into black mass we all attend for you
You’ve done all that you could do to us all
Possessive of a fathers love for me
Yeah walking on your shards of glass
Yeah cut myself with broken glass
Yeah walking on your shards of glass
Yeah cut myself with broken glass

I love the light and shade between Bryan's dirty and Emma's forlorn vocals. There are so many layers to this recording that are driven home through contrast. Plus the riffs are brilliant and get me moving. I can't stop listening to Thou and Emma in general lately. spaceman2250

What an impressive piece of black metal. This one-man hurricane is pure art. Sgah‘gahsowáh creates an haunting atmosphere. He puts so much soul in his music. Sælzer Bub

What an album! The only reason the album didn't elevate them straight to stardom is not enough people heard it. Modern classic - from start to finish. c1ch
